Carter BloodCare, a long-time customer and premier blood center in the United States has become InVita’s development partner and first contracted customer to develop an innovative product for advanced therapy management.
Building on its industry-leading capabilities in blood and plasma management software solutions, InVita enters this highly impactful area— the treatment and potential cure of critical diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and spinal cord injuries. This new offering will improve processes with an innovative product that ensures robust tracking, quality control, and compliance measures, specifically designed for blood centers with cell therapy labs and cryopreservation services.
Carter BloodCare provides lifesaving blood components and transfusion services to more than 200 hospitals across 57 counties in North, Central, and East Texas, distributing more than 440,000 blood products annually. “We are excited to expand our partnership with InVita, which has been instrumental in helping us manage our blood operations more efficiently,” said BJ Smith, Chief Operating Officer at Carter BloodCare. “We expect to gain significant efficiencies that will allow us to scale our operations to meet the increasing demand for advanced therapies.”
